Announcing the 2009 Deer Season Hunting Opportunities

This year the Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve will be offering deer hunting opportunities for the C-4 and G-1 hunt periods. Below you will find a link to the application for the rifle and archery season hunts.

If successful in the draw there will be an additional $35.00 hunt tag fee per hunter. Please check the boxes for each hunt period you are applying for and fill out all the information for each person in your party. Please be aware that the primary applicant will be the primary contact and is responsible for all correspondence and paperwork for the hunt party.

We are always trying to improve the quality of our program and hope these changes improve your hunting experience. Along with helping to reduce waste and increasing access to the application process these changes allow us to spend more of the revenue where it really matters, on habitat improvement and maintaining access roads. So far hunt revenues have made significant contributions to important aspects of habitat improvement such as increasing forage and invasive species control. We hope you will take advantage of these improvements and help us continue our work conserving a valuable natural area by applying for all of our upcoming hunts.

Thanks to our partnership with The California Deer Association all future applications will be available online. Look for BCCER hunting opportunities on the home page. Follow the directions below to download and print the application forms and then mail them to the address posted on the form, or send them in by email. Fees can now be paid online, or they may be included with your application.
